Advanced Practice Provider, Inpatient Psychiatry – Burlington, VT

Salary Range: $90K - $140K

We are seeking an NP or PA to join our high-quality, progressive, and collegial inpatient psychiatry service at the Medical Center.

The ideal candidate would have experience on inpatient psychiatry, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply. We are a teaching site for psychiatry residents, and can extend training opportunities to the APP.

Must-Haves

  • For PA: Graduate of an ARC-PA (or its predecessors) accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program. Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the state.
  • For NP: Registered nurse who has successfully completed formal education program approved by the State Board of Nursing, or state or national accrediting agency which prepares nurses to function in advanced nursing practice. Must also be certified by national certifying agency recognized by the
  • Must have strong knowledge of the management of patients experiencing acute episodes of psychiatric illnesses complicated by complex medical problems. Must be experienced in performing acute risk assessments, comfortable managing acute clinical situations and be able to work collaboratively.

Must be experienced in performing acute risk assessments, comfortable managing acute clinical situations and be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Must have excellent communication skills and previous experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician's Assistant strongly desired.

This is a full-time, salaried position. The hours are Monday through Friday 8:30-5pm with some flexibility expected.
