Starting Salary: $70,000 to $90,000
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and have overall responsibility for clinical research business services activities developing and leading the pre-award and post-award research business teams supporting us. This position is key in implementing organization goals to lead the business services efforts of our team to coordinate all aspects of implementation and conduct of research and projects. Ensures that the conduct of research financial management conforms to regulations and hospital policy. The Manager will lead, hire, direct, teach and supervise direct reports and research personnel in us ensuring quality and compliance with the department.
An ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field with a minimum of 5 years of clinical research experience required. Two of the five years of clinical research experience should include research financial management. Research Certification strongly preferred.
Clinical Research Finance experience required. A thorough knowledge of the drug and medical device development processes along with thorough understanding of GCP, FDA and billing policies and recommendations. Well developed organizational skills, with keen attention to details. Documented people skills with a hands-on management style. Goal oriented person who takes initiative, is self-motivated, and a creative problem solver. Able to do a clinical and logistical review of protocols and apply this knowledge to operations. Able to input and evaluate metrics tracking to monitor departmental and associate performance and time expenditures. A working knowledge of Microsoft office & electronic data capture systems is needed. Knowledge of data systems, experience working with a commercial IRB and institutional IRB experience required.
