Senior Procurement Manager – Portland, OR

Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000

The primary responsibility is to drive sustainable supply chain practices through effective supplier management and raw material procurement with the goals to reduce costs, improve quality, deliver optimal service for our internal customers and ultimately achieve the company’s strategic initiatives and gross margin goals.

Specific job duties:

  • Supports the Company’s Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Creates and implements comprehensive procurement strategies for raw materials covering market trends, supply assurance, quality improvement, supplier development, sustainability, and financial and supply risk management.
  • Builds and sustains positive relationships with key stakeholders and partners – both within and with suppliers.
  • Collaborates with Brewing Operations, Sales and Brand teams to align with our manufacturing strategy in planning, scheduling and sequencing to ensure optimal production, quality and delivery.
  • Utilizes the 7-step strategic sourcing process to provide category leadership in the designated area of spend.
  • Performs category spend analysis, spend trends, budgeting, market analysis and benchmarking.
  • Develops and executes sourcing strategies and drafts RFP’s and RFI’s.
  • Oversees contract negotiation, contract implementation and vendor management.
  • Manages and maintains procurement KPI dashboards, spend analytics and reporting.
  • Tracks and measures supplier quality and performance.
  • Oversees contract management and spend management to budget.
  • Performs issue resolution, expedited sourcing, excursion containment and root cause analysis.
  • Leads and conducts regular supplier business review meetings to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manages business continuity planning and alternate sourcing plans.

 

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s Degree in related field of study and/or APICS CPIM/CPM certification is strongly desired.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a strategic sourcing role, with supplier performance management and contract management experience.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills with KPI development and dashboarding experience. Has extensive project management experience and possess advanced knowledge of the strategic sourcing process.
  • Experience with direct spends encompassing glass, corrugates and secondary packaging equipment in the consumer packaged goods industry is strongly desired as well a passion for craft beer and the advancement of the industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/SAP systems.

 Must-Haves
